Over the past holiday weekend, I watched an interesting, quirky movie set in a small Maine town.  Blow the Man Down is an Amazon Prime Original movie and tells the story of how two sisters attempt to cover up a gruesome murder committed by one of them.

The movie does a great job in revealing small town dynamics through characters like a devious brothel owner, a straight by the book police officer, and three elderly ladies that knows about everything going on in the town.

Blow the Man Down has been compared to Fargo and seems to be an appropriate comparison. I’m still thinking about that ending days after watching the movie. I’m not a big movie fan in general but I enjoyed it.  Recommended.
